Introduced in 2003 by the University of Minnesota from a single bud mutation yielding gray(thus named Gris) Frontenac Gris is the White wine version of Frontenac. Arching cances and minimum tendrils make training and pruning management easier. The Disease resistance of the parent conveys near immunity to downy mildew. In Minnesota Frontenac Gris ripens in late mid-seasons. $0.40 per plant royalty.
